PARIS: European Union soybean imports in the 2017/18 season that began on July 1 had reached 4.4 million tonnes by Nov. 14, down 9 percent from 4.9 million tonnes imported by the same stage last season, official data showed on Thursday.
For soymeal, cumulative EU imports so far in 2017/18 totalled 7.1 million tonnes, up 8 percent from 6.6 million a year ago.
Palm oil imports stood at 2.35 million tonnes, up 3 percent from 2.27 million a year earlier, the data showed.
