To provide members with the skills and knowledge required to meet changing employer and public expectations and to help them achieve their career aspirations, ACCA organises Continuous Professional Development (CPD) workshops.
ACCA Pakistan's CPD workshop on International Accounting Standard 1 (IAS 1) Presentation of Financial Statements and International Accounting Standard 12 (IAS 12) Income Taxes held in Karachi on 19 January 2010 produced interesting debate on the practical application of IAS 1 and IAS 12.
The workshops were conducted by ACCA Pakistan Members Network Panel members, Irfan Ilyas and Zainab Mubarik. The workshops were widely attended by professional accountants. The participants appreciated the workshops stating that the discussions on the practical implications of the standards enabled them to deliberate the challenges that they face in implementation of the standards. Capacity building workshop on International Financial Reporting standards enhance the skills and Knowledge of accountants at the same time facilitating discussions over best practices of adoption of the standards.-PR
