Gold medallist in 10th South Asian Games 2006 at Colombo, Shakir Lashari scored two goals as the 78th match of the Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) ended in favour of 9-times national Champion Pakistan International Airlines (PIA). The airmen dominated the closing minutes and overpowered KESC with two late goals and jumped to fifth place after KRL, Navy, WAPDA and Army.
PIA turned the complexion of the game in the second session as KESC had better ball possession in the first half, but their front runners failed to capitalise on the chances through Muhammad Rasool 15th min, Abdul Rehman 21st min and Muhammad Essa 43rd minute. PIA's keeper Syed Sultan Ali was also active under the bar and denied the well-known players from scoring. It was 0-0 at interval.
