Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has discovered gas in its exploratory well RETI No 1-A (Guddu Block) which is located in district Ghotki of Sindh province. Reti wells No 01-A was drilled to its target depth of 770 meters, based on electric logs, geological and drilling data, the production testing started on August 1, 2009.
Guddu Joint Venture is comprised of OGDCL, IPR Trans Oil Corporation (IPRTOC) and Government Holdings (Pvt) Limited, having 70 percent, 25 percent and 5 percent (pre-commercial) Working Interest, respectively.
Moreover, three zones in Pirkoh limestone have been selected for testing. Zone-I in the interval (641-634-07M) proved to be tight and water bearing, while Zone-II, (616-598=18M) on 36/64 chock size has produced 2.82 MMSCFD/D of gas well-head flowing pressures of 498PSI.-PR
