RECORDER REPORT: PSX close of day

KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100 index closed higher on Thursday having 46332.31 points with a positive change of 857.85 and volume of 167,307,030 shares.

High and Low were 46464.38 and 45474.46 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 294,870,560 shares with 377 total traded companies out of which 257 were up 102 were down and 18 were unchanged.

POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 72,749,800 shares. It was followed by COMMERCIAL BANKS with a total traded volume of 50,933,600 shares.

The three top traded companies were K-Electric Ltd. with a volume of 68,234,500 and price per share of 7.00 (0.15), Engro Polymer with a volume 13,034,000 of price per share of 39.71 (0.98), B.O.Punjab. with a volume 9,927,500 of price per share of 11.05 (0.24).

The top three advancers were Millat Tractors with price per share 1399.07 (63.03), Hinopak MotorXD with price per share of 1370.83 (49.58) and Exide (PAK) share of 1020.00 (40.11).

The top three decliners were Rafhan Maize with price per share of 6850.00 (250.00), Honda Atlas CarsXD with price per share of 827.66 (31.46) and Wyeth Pak Ltd share of 2015.64 (23.11).
