imagePakistan Cricket Boards mission to bring international cricket back in Pakistan seems to be in jeopardy, after a report issued by the Federation of International Cricketers Associations (FICA) has stated that the risk level in Pakistan remains "at an extremely elevated state."

FICA is an organisation that co-ordinates the activities of all the national players associations that represent professional cricketers. The report cautions foreign players that "an acceptable level of participant security and safety cannot be expected or guaranteed" for Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2017 final in Lahore.

The report strongly suggested that overseas players decline to participate in the 2017 Pakistan Super League Final due to concerns over player safety, reported ESPNcricinfo.

The report, reads that it is based on an "updated security advice", saying, "Pakistan continues to experience significant terrorist attacks across the country and Westerners have in the past been directly targeted and killed in Pakistan. Indiscriminate and targeted attacks are likely to continue, and expert advice is consistent with all Government Agencies and Diplomatic Missions, who generally advise to reconsider the need to travel."

The report further went on to give the overall history, of terrorist attacks in the country, and added that the "Players participating in this event do so as individuals and at their own risk," the report concludes.

The reports surface after PSL announced that the final will be played in Lahore on March 7, as scheduled, whether overseas players take part or not. Whereas, the rest of the games will be played in the UAE.

The PCB remains eager to revive international matches in the country, and a security delegation from the WICB is expected to visit the country later this month.
