ISLAMABAD: The prices of fruits and vegetables overall remained stable with minor fluctuation in some items in Kohsar Market, Super Market and Jinnah Super Market.
According to the Islamabad Market Committee price list issued here Monday, the prices of various fruits and vegetables showed no major difference from the price list of the previous week.
According to price list, potato sold at Rs 34 per kilogram, Onion Rs 32, Tomato Rs 37, Ginger Rs 135, Garlic (China) Rs 308, Garlic Local 330, Lemon Rs 54, Lady Finger Rs 120/85, Pumpkin Rs 57, Brinjal Rs 35, Peas Rs 55, Fresh Bean Rs 40, Tinda Walaiti (Imported gourd small) Rs 40, Cucumber Rs 46, Capsicum Rs 70/57, Green Chilli Rs 55, Cauliflower Rs 27/20, Cabbage Rs 40, Bitter Gourd Rs 92/70, Spinach Rs 22/16, Radish Rs 17, Turnip Rs 28, Yam Rs 70, Maroo Rs 33, Carrot Rs 30, Chicken Rs 102 and Egg per dozen Rs 120.
Likewise, the rates of fruits per kilogram of high and medium quality in Islamabad are as follows: Apple (kala kalo) Rs 125/88, Apple Golden Rs 100/68, Apple White Rs 88/57, Apple China Rs 180/148, Banana Pak Rs 95/52, Grapes Toffee Rs 160/140, Guava 77/40, Pomegranate Rs 178/142, Musumi Rs 90/70, Shakri Rs 105/78, Kino Rs 95/65, Fruiter Rs 75/45, Pear China Rs 152/135.
The people are asked to ensure that they are sold vegetables and fruits as per rate list and inform authorities at 051-4867762 in case of any compliant against shopkeepers.
