ISLAMABAD: The prices of fruits and vegetables overall remained stable with minor fluctuation in some items in the federal capital.
According to the Islamabad Market Committee price list issued here Thursday, the prices of various fruits and vegetables showed no major difference from the price list of the previous week.
According to price list, potato sold at Rs 35 per kilogram, Onion Rs 29, Tomato Rs 35, Ginger Rs 120, Garlic (China) Rs 295, Garlic Local 305, Lemon Rs 62, Lady Finger Rs 110, Green Zucchini Rs 84, Pumpkin Rs 44, Brinjal Rs 38, Peas Rs 66, Fresh Bean Rs 56, Tinda Walaiti (Imported gourd small) Rs 40, Cucumber Rs 36, Capsicum Rs 78/60, Green Chilli Rs 58, Cauliflower Rs 21/14, Cabbage Rs 45, Bitter Gourd Rs 88/65, Spinach Rs 19/14, Radish Rs 14, Turnip Rs 23, Yam Rs 66, Maroo Rs 29, Carrot Rs 29, Chicken Rs 122 and Egg per dozen Rs 130.
Likewise, the rates of fruits per kilogram of high and medium quality in Islamabad are as follows: Apple (kala kalo) Rs 120/85, Apple Golden Rs 92/65, Apple White Rs 82/60, Apple China Rs 65/45, Banana Pak Rs 88/48, Grapes Toffee Rs 140/120, Guava 66/38, Pomegranate Rs 156/120, Musumi Shakri Rs 100/75, Kino Rs 85/48, Fruiter Rs 80/40, Pear China Rs 142/120.
The people are asked to ensure that they are sold vegetables and fruits as per rate list and inform authorities at 051-4867762 in case of any compliant against shopkeepers.
