ISLAMABAD: The prices of fruits and vegetables overall remained stable with minor fluctuation in some items in the federal capital.
According to the Islamabad Market Committee price list issued here Wednesday, the prices of various fruits and vegetables showed no major difference from the price list of the previous week.
According to price list, potato sold at Rs 35 per kilogram, Onion Rs 28, Tomato Rs 44, Ginger Rs 115, Garlic (China) Rs 290, Garlic Local 300, Lemon Rs 64, Lady Finger Rs 110, Green Zucchini Rs 78, Pumpkin Rs 45, Brinjal Rs 35, Peas Rs 64, Fresh Bean Rs 55, Tinda Walaiti (Imported gourd small) Rs 41, Cucumber Rs 35, Capsicum Rs 76/60, Green Chilli Rs 57, Cauliflower Rs 20/13, Cabbage Rs 44, Bitter Gourd Rs 85/65, Spinach Rs 18/13, Radish Rs 14, Turnip Rs 26, Yam Rs 65, Maroo Rs 28, Carrot Rs 30, Chicken Rs 102 and Egg per dozen Rs 130.
Likewise, the rates of fruits per kilogram of high and medium quality in Islamabad are as follows: Apple (kala kalo) Rs 125/90, Apple Golden Rs 100/65, Apple White Rs 80/55, Apple China Rs 155/125, Banana Pak Rs 80/46, Grapes Toffee Rs 146/120, Guava 64/35, Pomegranate Rs 154/120, Musumi Shakri Rs 105/80, Kino Rs 80/60, Fruiter Rs 76/45, Pear China Rs 148/120.
The people are asked to ensure that they are sold vegetables and fruits as per rate list and inform authorities at 051-4867762 in case of any compliant against shopkeepers.
