Actress Parineeti Chopra has replaced Kareena Kapoor Khan in the latest installment of ‘Golmaal’ series. Kareena Kapoor Khan will be missing in action from the fourth part due to her pregnancy. But, director Rohit Shetty has revealed Parineeti Chopra is the new Golmaal girl.
The filmmaker said, “It feels great to know that people are eagerly awaiting Golmaal Again. This proves that cinegoers love the franchise that began its journey over 10 years ago. Parineeti is our new Golmaal girl, she completely fits the bill. We are excited to release our film on Diwali,” Indian media reported.
Ajay Devgan, who also play a lead role in the movie tweeted, “Welcome to the crazy Golmaal family Parineeti Chopra”.
Parineeti is thrilled to be a part of the madhouse. She said, “I was always cuckoo. No wonder they thought of me for this film. No one can fill Kareena's shoes. She lent a different charm to the story. Having said that, no actor is capable of doing a lesser or better job than the other. Mine is a completely new character and won't have hangover of any of the previous films in the series,” Mid-Day reported.
The film will go on-floor from January 2017.
