Two promoted as Rear Admiral

The government of Pakistan has announced promotion of Commodore Mushtaq Ahmed and Commodore Agha Danish to the rank of Rear Admiral with immediate effect. This was notified by the Ministry of Defence.
Rear Admiral Mushtaq Ahmed joined Pakistan Navy in 1970 and was commissioned in the engineering branch in 1973. He graduated as a mechanical engineer from Karachi University in 1974 and specialised in Marine Engineering from PN Engineering College in 1975. The Admiral is a graduate of Joint Service Staff College (JSSC) and National Defence College (NDC) and is holding degree of MSc in Joint Warfare and Defence & Strategic Studies from Quaid-e-Azam University.
He held various field, command and staff appointments, notable being chief engineer of destroyers/frigates, general manager in Dockyard, Chief Inspector Naval Stores, chief staff officer to Commander Logistics, commanding officer PNS Karsaz, project director Submarine Rebuild Complex at Ministry of Defence Production and director general Indigenous Technical Development at Naval Headquarters.
He is married, and has a son and two daughters.
Rear Admiral Agha Danish was commissioned in the Operations branch of Pakistan Navy in 1974 and later joined naval aviation. During his career, the officer has held several command and staff appointments, including command of two destroyers namely PNS Babur and Tariq.
