imageCHICAGO: South Korea wrapped up two rain-disrupted victories over Australia and Japan won a three-team playoff to join England, Taiwan and the United States in the final singles phase of the LPGA International Crown on Sunday.

South Korea's Ryu So-Yeon and Kim Young started the day 2 up over Karrie Webb and Rebecca Artis with four holes remaining. Ryu birdied the par-four 15th and the South Koreans went on to close out a 3 and 2 victory.

Amy Yang and Chun In-Gee, who were 1 up over Minjee Lee and Su Oh with 3 to play when their match was halted on Saturday held on for a 1 up victory that put South Korea top of Pool A and into the closing singles along with Taiwan, who had secured their berth on Saturday.

With England and the United States already through from Pool B, Japan nabbed the final singles spot with a dramatic win in a three-team playoff. Ayaka Watanabe rolled in a long eagle putt at the first playoff hole, the par-five 16th at the Merit Club, to eliminate China and Thailand.

Thailand's Ariya Jutanugarn had a chance to extend the playoff, but her eagle effort just missed.
