imageISLAMABAD: National Highway Authority (NHA) has invited Expression of lnterests (EO1s) from the construction firms to extend Islamabad-Murree Expressway (N-75) to Kohala and connect it with Muzaffarabad Expressway.

EOIs have been invited for conducting feasibility study and design of the subject project.The proposals are being evaluated and are in the process of finalization. Formalities associated with construction of the project will commence after completion of the feasibility study,said an official of the NHA Friday.

He said that the timeframe given for completion of feasibility study of the project and design is four months. Procurement process including tender with initiated soon after completion of feasibility study.

To a question,he said that the expected time by which the construction work on the said project will be initiated alongwith estimated cost will be ascertained after completion of feasibility and design of the project.

The Murree Expressway (N-75), also known as the Islamabad-Murree Expressway or the Islamabad-Murree-Muzaffarabad Expressway is a four-lane expressway connecting Islamabad to Murree.The Expressway passes through Barakahu, Murree, Phulgran, Upper Topa, Lower Topa, Bhurban, Aliyot and Phagwari before ending just outside Kohala.
