imageISLAMABAD: PML(N) Senator, Mushahid Ullah Khan Friday said that the government was trying its best to resolve the prevailing political situation through meaningful dialogue.

Speaking on an adjournment motion in the Senate, he said the government was ready for negotiations on all issues and did not believe in violence and bloodshed.

He pointed out that Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) had been supporting dictatorship in the past while "Azadi March" was also against a democratic government.

While further criticizing Dr.Qadri, said despite claiming himself as a religious scholar, he (Dr. Qadri) was giving orders of murdering innocent security forces personnel.

Mushahid Ullah said that PTI was inflicting a huge loss to the national exchequer as it was threatening the World Bank for giving loans to the country and inciting people for civil disobedience.

He said that PAT and PTI should raise issue of Gaza Strip instead of trying to derail democratic system in the country.

While showing his serious concerns, he said that it was a worst kind of example that the long marchers had blocked main entrance of Parliament adding that it had never happened even in the history of the country.

He condemned the abusive language used by PAT and PTI chiefs and asked them to settle down political disputes in the Parliament instead of roads.

Senator Babar criticized PTI for not mentioning votes audit in their charter of demands.

MQM Col.(R) Syed Tahir Hussain Mashhadi appreciated the government for showing maximum restraint towards protests in front of the Parliament House.

He said that no mob had the right to ask for resignation from an elected Prime Minister as it was an undemocratic and unconstitutional demand.

Col. Mashhadi said the Parliament was the mother of all institutions therefore, it must be given a proper respect and PTI and PAT should use this platform for resolving their issues through dialogues.

PPP Senator Abdul Qayyum Soomro PPP, said a small number of people had made the nation as a hostage.

He said that differences were the part of politics but it did not mean to use slang language against their opponents.

Senator Qayyum said that PAT and PTI had never given any sacrifice for the restoration of democracy and constitution.

This was the reason, both were making conspiracy against the Parliament.

PPP Senator Osman Saifullah Khan, suggested that Prime Minister should address the nation to explain the prevailing political situation and its implications to the nation.

He said that dialogue process should continue for a peaceful solution of this political impasse.
