KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Food Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar has said that the flour will be provided from `Bachat Bazar' at Rs 30 per kilogram across the province, to provide relief to the people during the holy month of Ramadan.
The provincial minister said this while talking to media at his office here, said a statement on Thursday.
All flour mills will also set up fair price shops at the main entrance gates of their mills, where flour will be sold at Rs 30 per kilogram, said Jam Mehtab Dahar.
The minister informed that the decision to this effect was made during a meeting between Sindh Food Department and Flour Mills Association.
He said a subsidy of Rs 3 billion has been given on wheat in the annual budget of the current year, to provide relief to masses.
He said that all commissioners in Sindh, have been asked to ensure sale of flour during Ramazan at the said price, in the light of the decision made in the meeting of the Sindh Food Department and Flour Mills Association.
He said that the target of 12,20,000 tonnes of wheat procurement has been achieved.
