KARACHI: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan called on Governor Sindh, Dr Ishrat- ul- Ebad Khan, at the Governor House here on Saturday.
The law and order situation in the province especially that of Karachi was discussed on the occasion, says a Governor House statement.
It said that the performance of the law enforcement agencies (LEAs) was also discussed in detail.
They expressed the resolve that the ongoing operation against the terrorists and criminals would be made more effective.
Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan assured the federal government's full cooperation to the Sindh Governor and said that it is the desire of the government that the ongoing operation should be successful in accordance with the aspirations of the people.
The LEAs were directed to bring to book at every cost the elements involved in criminal activities.
The Interior Minister and the Governor agreed that the success of the operation also depends on participation of the people and that they would have to play their full role to help identify the terrorists and criminals.
It was also pointed out that the economic progress and development of the country depends on betterment of the law and order situation.
