LAHORE: Three more dengue cases surfaced in the city on Saturday, escalating the toll of dengue-affected patients to 27 across the province.
The new dengue patients include 18-year-old Shehroz, 15-year-old Anum and 16-year-old Maham who belonged to Shadbagh, Ferozwala and Qila Lakhsman Singh, respectively.
The surge in the disease has been linked with the torrential rains and accumulated water following rains.
It has attracted the attention of the Government of Pakistan, especially the Punjab government, since it is widespread in that particular province of the country.
