imageISLAMABAD: Engineer Shaukatullah, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa called on Federal Minister for Finance Senator Ishaq Dar in his office Saturday and discussed the financial requirements of tribal areas.

The Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa appreciated the initiatives taken by the federal government for revival of economy and observed that a positive improvement is being seen.

The Governor KP handed over an invitation by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chamber of Commerce to the Finance Minister which he accepted in principle.

The Finance Minister assured the Governor that despite financial constraints, all the legitimate financial requirements of the tribal areas will be met and assured him of full support.

Senator Ishaq Dar said that all political parties should unite to address the economic problems facing the country, a plea that he made in his post budget speech in Parliament in June 2013. The government, Senator Ishaq Dar said had cleared 67% of circular debt setting dues of Private Power Producers and is in process of clearing the balance before the deadline.
