ISLAMABAD: A two-day Women Expo 2012 of the Islamabad Woman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IWCCI) will begin here at Jinnah Convention Center from Saturday.

The exhibition, titled "Women in creative Industry" will provide basic education and opportunity to the women for introducing their produces in local and international markets.

United Nations Industrial Development, First Women Bank, Khushali bank and other institutions will participate in the Expo-2012 to encourage the women entrepreneurs.

In a statement, founding President IWCCI, Samina Fazal said a large number of women entrepreneurs across the country are participating the expo, adding that to improve the economic position of women in the country was the top priority of the chamber.

She said IWCCI was striving to facilitate the skilled women by providing them technical support as well as to remove the gender disparity from the country.

She further said the struggle will continue till removing the hurdles in due representation of women in national building, adding that for achieving the goal, public and private sector cooperation is required.
