Funds raise bullish bet in raw sugar to nearly 200,000 contracts

The funds added 20,598 contracts to their net long bet that now totals 193,823 contracts, the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission said.
Funds have not lost their appetite in commodities for now, and unless you can flush them, it will be harder to pressure sugar down.

ICE cotton scales over 8-month peak as rains delay harvest

The cotton contract for December rose 0.76 cent, or 1.1%, at 69.98 cents per lb .
The front-month contract earlier hit its highest since Jan. 30 at 70.04 cents and was on track for a second straight weekly gain, rising 3.5% so far this week.

ICE canola futures rise on crusher buying, limited hedges

Canola's gains came even as soybeans declined, after canola had become relatively cheap compared to its rival oilseed, a trader said.
Most-active January canola gained 80 cents to $533.90 per tonne.
