LSE sheds 32.65 points

lseLAHORE: Bearish trend prevailed in Lahore Stock Exchange on Wednesday as it shed 32.65 points, following the LSE-25 index opened with 4090.88 and closed at 4058.23 points.

 

The market's overall situation also did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 2.758 million shares to close against previous turnover of 3.309 million shares, showing a downward slide of 551,100 shares. While, out of the total 96 active scrips 21 moved up, 24 shed values and 51 remined equal.   Engro Foods Limited, Fauji Fertilizer Company and Attock Refinery Limited were Major Gainer of the day by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 2.11, Rs 1.81 and Rs 1.64 respectively.

 

United Bank Limited, Arif Habib Corporation and Karachi Electric Supply Company lost their per share value by Re 0.74, Re 0.37 and Re 0.34 respectively.

 

The Volume Leader of the day included NIB Bank Limited with 516,500 shares, Fauji Cement Company Limited with 337,500 shares and Pakistan International Airline (PIA) with 263,500 shares.
