Sindh government had also constituted a 15-member committee of forensic experts previously that was headed by same person who heads the new committee, but the JSQM had rejected it being dissatisfied with it.

Sticking to the demand of conducting the analysis of viscera by international experts, JSQM believed that its leader was poisoned to death using most modern and sophisticated method. It could be a slow-poison given by shaking hands or through food or water or by any other means.

According to JSQM, Dr. Umar Memon, head of forensic experts’ committee himself had admitted that they are lacking required equipment. Moreover, there had been different reports of change in number of jars containing the viscera. They had also not taken viscera from the heart and lungs of Shaheed Bashir Khan.

Meanwhile, talking to PPI on phone, Dr. Niaz Kalani, Vice Chairman, JSQM, appreciated the move however said the government should take into confidence the heirs of Shaheed Bashir Khan and arrange sending some members of heirs of late leader along with forensic experts’ team to UK.

He said JSQM had been demanding analysis of viscera abroad since the death of Bashir Khan.

It may be recalled that Bashir Khan died early April this year at Sakrand town of Nawabshah district on the way from hometown Ratodero to Karachi.
