12 killed, 50 injured in explosion in Parachinar

parachinar 400PESHAWAR: As many as ten persons were killed and forty sustained injuries due to a powerful bomb explosion in Khasmir Chowk of Parachinar, headquarter of Kurram Agency, on Monday.

 

According to Police reports, it was a car explosion and the vehicle was parked in busy Kashmir Chowk which caused instant killing of 12 persons.

 

The injured were shifted to district headquarter hospital.

 

The explosion caused damage to near by buildings smashing window panes and disrupting power supply in the area.

 

The rescue operation is in progress and Police have cardon off the area and started investigation.
