Gold soars by Rs850 per tola

KARACHI: The prices of gold on Saturday touched Rs 51,000 per 10 gram mark, up from Rs 50,271 on the local market, traders said.

The price of gold per tola went up by Rs 850 to Rs 59,500, following an increase in the value of precious metal on the global market to $1692 an ounce from $1659 an ounce, traders said.

The price of silver is now Rs1050 per tola and Rs900 per 10 gram, they said.
