PARIS: The European Union awarded in the week ending June 14 licences to import 101,900 tonnes of Ukrainian barley under annual tariff-free quotas, data published by the European Commission showed.
The award marked the first significant volume so far to be booked from the 2019 Ukrainian barley quota. There remained 526,000 tonnes available out of the total quota of 635,000 tonnes, the data showed.
This year's tariff-free quotas for Ukrainian maize (corn) and wheat have already been fully booked.
