HAMBURG: South Korea's largest feedmaker Nonghyup Feed Inc. (NOFI) has issued an international tender to purchase up to 69,000 tonnes of corn, European traders said on Monday.

The tender deadline is also Monday, April 1.

The corn is sought for arrival in South Korea around Oct. 25.

NOFI is seeking yellow corn equivalent to U.S. number 3 grade or better in one consignment of between 45,000 to 69,000 tonnes.

Shipment was sought between Sept. 22 and Oct. 11 if sourced from the U.S. Pacific Northwest coast, between Sept. 2-21 if sourced from the U.S. Gulf or east Europe, between Sept. 7-26 if from South Africa and between Aug. 28 and Sept. 16 if from South America.

Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) corn futures fell more than 4 percent on Friday after the U.S. Department of Agriculture estimated U.S. stocks and projected spring plantings above trade expectations.
