KARACHI: Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) rescued two fishing boats Al-Sameer and Al-Hamdi along with 10 fishermen on-board which was stranded in water for the last three days.
According to a statement issued by PMSA here on Tuesday, it received a message regarding two Pakistani fishing boats Al-Sameer and Al-Hamdi on February 18, 2012.
According to information, two boats along-with 10 fishermen on-board was stranded due to defective engine approximately 70 nautical miles from Karachi.
After receiving the message, HQ PMSA immediately tasked PMSS Corvette to proceed to the boats and render all possible assistance.
PMSS Corvette provided food, water and medical assistance to the crew of fishing boats Al-Sameer and Al Hamdi. PMSS Corvette took the Pakistani boats in tow and is expected to reach Karachi on Wednesday.
