Nomination papers of Pakistan Muslim League (PML) senior leader Chaudhry Pervez Elahi from Gujrat for National and Punjab Assemblies seats and of Moonis Elahi for Punjab Assembly seat have been accepted by the returning officer.
Talking to media, Elahi who is contesting elections from NA-69 and PP-30, appealed to the people to vote on basis of performance and discourage those who raising false hopes. He alleged that N-League has destroyed whole country including Punjab during last 10 years.
Replying to a question, he said that his party has entered into alliance in Sindh with Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) led by Pir of Pagara. However, the party has fielded its candidates across the country and contesting elections with the symbol of 'Tractor'. To another question, he said the N-League made false promises and the people are facing host of issues.
