CJP orders removal of AIMC principal

Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar on Sunday ordered removal of Principal Allama Iqbal Medical College (AIMC) Professor Dr Rashid Zia from his office. The chief justice ordered Punjab chief secretary for appointment of new regular principal after forming a new search committee for the purpose. The chief justice passed the orders while hearing different complaints at the Supreme Court Lahore Registry.
During the hearing, the chief justice observed that he visited the Jinnah Hospital and found the conditions unsatisfactory. He further questioned the mode of appointment of Professor Dr Rashid Zia as principal.
