Ambulift incident Gerry's Dnata team arrives to conduct probe

A safety board team of Gerry's Dnata Wednesday arrived to probe into an ambulift incident that left four passengers and a ground staff injured and damaged Emirates Boeing 777-300 aircraft at Islamabad airport Tuesday morning. The flight EK-615 (Islamabad-Dubai) was hit by an ambulift, toppled while lifting disabled passengers onto aircraft. This incident has caused injuries to four passengers and a ground handler and also dented the right hand engine's inlet of the aircraft. All injured persons were later shifted to hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, spokesman Gerry's Dnata confirmed the incident, saying that the safety was their top priority hence the officials from its safety board arrived from Dubai to investigate the incident. He said that Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) was also taken on board for the purpose; adding that all victims were being compensated by the airline. The Emirates airlines in its statement stated that the flight EK615 from Islamabad to Dubai was involved in an incident on ground on February 27, 2018 as passengers were boarding the aircraft that left four passengers and one ground handling staff injured and offered unconditional support to concerned families.
