On Tuesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,238. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 6.739 billion and the number of lots traded was 12,107.
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 3.206 billion, followed by currencies through COTS PKR 1.308 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 715.923million, NSDQ100 PKR 421.684 million, platinum PKR 343.975 million, silver PKR 316.547 million, DJ PKR 285.458 million, natural gas PKR 75.611 million, SP500 PKR 29.177 million, copper PKR 25.408 million and Brent crude oil PKR 11.047 million. In agricultural commodities, 42 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 17.891 million were traded.
