Contributions of Muslim scientists to Tibb remarkable: Speaker Punjab Assembly

Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan has said that contributions of Muslim scientists to the field of Tibb (Eastern Medicines) are remarkable that has opened up golden chapter of glory. Therefore, it is the duty of Tibb experts to serve the humanity with honesty and dedication. He said this while addressing annual Tibb conference and convocation arranged by the National Council for Tibb at Iqbal Auditorium, University of Agriculture Faisalabad.
He said that Punjab Government was taking result-oriented measurers for the development of field and to address the problems of a common man with special focus on health and education. While congratulating the passing out students of Tibb, he urged them to serve the people truthfully and sincerely. He said that the country was blessed with tremendous talent.
There is a need to explore the potential. He added that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is a marvellous step that will bring the country to the new height of the development and prosperity. He said that CPEC will connect three continents Asia, Africa and Europe.
He said that the country was facing different challenges including terrorism for which Pakistan Army and Security Forces are taking all possible measures. He added that the development of every sector is the mission of PML (N). He said that Punjab Chief Minister for the first time in the history of country offered foreign visits to position holder students to different countries to get benefit from each other experiences.
UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Iqbal Zafar congratulated the passing out students of the Tibb. He said that UAF was offering degree programme and short courses in nutrition that will help the issue of increasing malnutrition affecting 50 per cent of children and women. He said that quality education would pave the way for the progress of the country. He urged the Tibb experts to serve the humanity with dedication.
Chairman Department of Bio Chemistry Dr Khalil Ur Rehman said that 40,000 Tibb experts were working in the country and said that Tibb University needs to be established in the country. Khalid Zubair, the position holder student of Tibb said that it is our duty to serve the humanity and we will perform our duty with dedication.
