We are going to render a national duty of historic significance ie 6th Census Pakistan-2017. It will be undertaken in two phases. First Phase which will be held during 15th March 2017 to 13th April, 2017 and the second phase will be held in the months of 25th April, 2017 to 24th May, 2017. For this purpose we have divided the entire country into 458 census districts which have been further divided into Census Charges, Census Circles and Census Blocks.
Each Census Block consists of about 200 to 250 houses on the average. For each census block enumerators will be appointed from the Education and other Nation Building Departments and will properly be trained to understand the concepts and methodology of census operation for doing this job scientifically. These teams will visit every door in their respective area to collect census data. During Census Operation, census teams will mark every residential and non-residential building with a digital code and collect information of the households and each individual. The digital code should be kept intact as it would not only be the proof that the building has been listed but also be the base for population census.
Capitalizing this opportunity, I appeal to the people of Pakistan to cooperate with the census teams, provide them correct information and help them to reach every household. I am sure that with national spirit and professional commitment we will make census a historic success.
