The incidents of kidnapping, robberies and mugging registered an upward trend in the federal capital last week as six cases of kidnapping and 10 cases of robberies and housebreak were reported to various police stations of the city. According to data gathered by Business Recorder, various police stations of the city registered six cases of motor vehicle theft and kidnapping, 10 cases of robberies and one case of murder during the last week.
During the period under review, most favourite areas for criminal gangs were within the limits of Aabpara, Koral, Tarnol and Sihala police stations. During the last week, Koral police station registered two cases of robbery and one case of kidnapping. Arsalan Khalid lodged a complaint with Koral police station that unknown bandits stole a refrigerator, air conditioner, LCD and other valuables from his house. In another incident, unknown robbers stormed into the house of Syed Wajahat Hussain and looted cash and gold ornaments from his house.
Khadeja Bakkar lodged a complaint with the same police that unknown people kidnapped his nephew. Aabpara police station registered two cases of auto theft and one each case of kidnapping and cheque dishonouring during the period under review. Motor vehicle theft stole a bike (LDC-3464) of Saeed Rehman and lifted another bike bearing registration number RIO-6233 of Muhammad Ziauddin from the limits of Aabapra police station. Syed Dildar Hussain Shah lodged a complaint with Aabpara police station that accused Muhammad Junaid kidnapped his daughter.
During the last week, Tarnol police station registered two cases of auto theft. Carjackers stole a bike (LER-8268) of Muhammad Shafiq and lifted another motor bike (JK-859) of Pervez Akhatar from the limits of Tarnol police station. In the same period, Sihala police station registered one case each of robbery and auto theft. Abdul Majeed Qazi informed Sihala police station that two armed robbers brooked into his house and looted cash, gold ornaments and valuables at gunpoint. Auto thieves stole a car (LE-8802) of Muhammad Aslam from the limits of the same police station.
