Fourth International Conference and Industrial Exhibition on Dairy Science Park will be held in Selcuk University, Konya, Turkey from November 01 to 05, 2017. The theme of the conference is Food Security though Entrepreneurship and Biorisk Management.
The event is continuation of the series held during November 2011, 2013 and 2015 in Peshawar. The three conferences focused on rehabilitation of the post-flood Dairy Sector of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during 2011, sensitizing the stakeholders about Halal meat export potential of the Region during 2013, and deliberations on Self employment for the youth and hygienic food production for the people of the Region during 2015. The fourth event of the series is being held with the theme "Achieving Food Security through Entrepreneurship Development and Biorisk Management".
The holding of the fourth international conference on Dairy Science Park was announced during the third event by Dr Mithat Direk, Vice President, Selcuk University Konya.
Dr Mithat Direk accompanied by Professor M Musa Ozcan, Vice President of Selcuk University Konya and signed MoUs with the University of Agriculture Peshawar, UVAS, UAF and PMASAU for collaboration under Mevlana Exchange Program and other arrangements.
Dr Mohammad Subhan Qureshi, Dean of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Agricultural University Peshawar (AUP), who also co-chairman of the conference in Peshawar, with Dr Mithat of Selcuk University Konya, Turkey, Chairman of the Conference said that such opportunities will be used for the facilitation of scientists, students, government officers, industry representatives, farmers, and civil society representatives.
Dr Mithat also had meeting with the representatives of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chamber of Commerce and Industry and delegates from Afghanistan and signed MoU with Dairy Science Park on behalf of Selcuk University and Konya Teknokent. Talking to this scribe, Dr Mohammad Subhan Qureshi said that they expect large participation of people from academia, industry, civil society, government and development agencies from various parts of the world.
