The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday arrested a serving Police Inspector, Gul Hameed Khan, presently posted as SHO at the City Police Station in Bannu for allegedly making illegal assets worth million of rupees. A complaint was received by the NAB wherein it was mentioned that Inspector Gul Hameed Khan has accumulated huge assets, including one house in the Bannu city, several plots in Lakki Marwat, heavy investments in National Savings schemes and huge transactions in his bank accounts by him and his family members.
The KP NAB took cognisance of the case and started inquiry. During the inquiry it was revealed that accusations contained in the complaint are true. Therefore, the KP NAB arrested the accused for investigations.
The accused will be produced before the Accountability Court for obtaining his physical remand.
