NOWSHERA: The nomination papers of PTI senior leader and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s former Chief Minister Pervez Khattak for NA-25 and PK-61 and 64 were accepted by the provincial election commission after scrutiny.
On the occasion, talking to media he hoped that on the basis of performance, PTI would get overwhelming victory in the general elections, adding that those who looted public kitty would have to face defeat as public would reject such corrupt politicians in the poll 2018.
He said that contrary to other politicians, PTI remained in contact with masses throughout the year and resolved their issues therefore PTI was contesting general elections on the basis of its five-year performance in KP.
Khattak said the former provincial government of PTI fulfilled its responsibilities while considering it a pubic cause adding deficiencies would be addressed after coming to power in 2018 general elections.
He said due to efforts of PTI chief Imran Khan the politics of a corrupt politician and his family came to an end while the door of corruption was also closed for others. PTI was committed to wipe out the menace of corruption from the society, he said.
Meanwhile, nomination papers of PTI-Gulalai Ayesha Gulalai, for NA-25, MMA’s Syed Zulfiqar Bacha for NA-2, Dr Imran Khattak Abdul Rehman Khattak ANP’s Jamal Khattak and MMA’s Asif Luqman Qazi for NA-26 and several other independent candidates were also accepted.
