KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the upper side on Tuesday at 24,853.98 points with a positive change of 156.06 and volume of 76,747,400 shares. High and Low were 24,909.97 and 24,697.92 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 19 were up, 11 were down and 0 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 154,282,510 shares. Total companies traded were 393 of which 248 were positive, 127 were negative and 18 were unchanged.

Food and Personal Care Products was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 9,318,540 shares. It was followed by Chemicals with a total traded volume of 8,188,670 shares.

The three top traded companies were Pak Elektron Limited with a volume of 10,155,000 and price per share of 45.96 (-1.99), Engro Polymer & Chemicals Limited with a volume of 8,570,500 and price per share of 38.33 (-0.08), Fauji Foods Limited with a volume of 8,170,500 and price per share of 39.45 (1.87).

The top three advancers were Pakistan Tobacco Company Limited with a volume of 8,600 and price per share of 2,207.33 (52.33), Colgate-Palmolive (Pakistan) Limited with a volume of 100 and price per share of 3,450 (49.99), Pakistan Services Limited with a volume of 50 and price per share of 945 (45.00).

The top three decliners were Rafhan Maize Products Company Limited with a volume of 60 and price per share of 7,903.33 (-196.67), Unilever Pakistan Foods Ltd (R) with a volume of 60 and price per share of 2,859.50 (-150.50), Bata Pakistan Limited with a volume of 1,080 and price per share of 2,644.61 (-136.39).
