KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the lower side on Thursday at 24,750.90 points with a negative change of -194.49 and volume of 105,958,300 shares. High and Low were 24,950.32 and 24,522.01 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 5 were up, 25 were down and 0 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 183,362,920 shares. Total companies traded were 382 of which 100 were positive, 262 were negative and 20 were unchanged.

Chemicals was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 29,811,530 shares. It was followed by Commercial Banks with a total traded volume of 26,202,300 shares.

The top three advancers were Pakistan Tobacco Company Limited with a volume of 380 and price per share of 2,045 (95.00), Bata Pakistan Limited with a volume of 60 and price per share of 2,810 (60.00), Khyber Tobacco Co Ltd with a volume of 16,420 and price per share of 743.82 (35.42).

The top three decliners were Shezan International Limited with a volume of 1,300 and price per share of 528.60 (-27.80), Indus Dyeing & Manufacturing Co. Limited with a volume of 100 and price per share of 447.09 (-23.52), Sitara Chemical Industries Limited with a volume of 30,300 and price per share of 418.62 (-22.03).
