Govt cuts petrol price by Rs5.45, diesel's by Rs3.68 per litre

  • New prices effective from November 4
Published Updated

Pakistan government decreased on Tuesday the price of petrol by Rs5.45 to Rs369.06 per litre, and diesel by Rs3.68 to Rs391.52 per litre, effective November 4, 2026.

According to a press release issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), the regulator revised the ex-depot prices of petroleum products under the federal government’s petroleum pricing mechanism.

On Monday, the government reduced the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs7.76 to Rs395.20 per litre, and petrol by Rs3.40 to Rs374.51 per litre.

Globally, oil prices slid about 2% to a three-week low on Tuesday in volatile trade as the market weighed talks to ‌end the wars in Ukraine and Iran against worries about additional supply disruptions from recent attacks in both conflicts.

The world is also watching to see what verdict American voters deliver on the first two years of US President Donald Trump’s second term in Tuesday’s midterm elections. Opinion polls and nonpartisan analysts favor Democrats to wrest the House of Representatives from Republicans, while Senate control remains uncertain.
