ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday expressed deep grief over the passing of former chief of army staff Gen Abdul Waheed Kakar (retd).
In separate statements, the president and the prime minister extended their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and expressed solidarity with them in their hour of grief.
President Zardari conveyed his sympathies to the family and prayed to Allah Almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and strength and patience to the bereaved family to bear the loss.
Prime Minister Sharif paid tribute to Kakar for his valuable services to the Pakistan Army.
He also expressed his heartfelt sympathies with the family and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul, asking Allah to grant the bereaved family patience and courage to endure the loss.
