KARACHI: Rear Admiral Khyber Zaman has assumed command as Commander Pakistan Fleet during a change-of-command ceremony held at Fleet Headquarters in Karachi, the Pakistan Navy said on Wednesday.
According to a press release issued by the Directorate General Public Relations (Pakistan Navy), Rear Admiral Zaman is a graduate of Air War College, Karachi; National Defence University, Islamabad; and Naval Postgraduate College, United States.
He has held various command and staff appointments during his naval career, including Commander Field and Operational Sea Training (COMFOST), Naval Secretary and Additional Secretary-III at the Ministry of Defence.
In recognition of his services, Rear Admiral Zaman was awarded the Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military), the Pakistan Navy said.
