FAISALABAD: Six persons were killed while 4 others sustained multiple injuries in different road accidents in and around the city during the last 24 hours.
Police said here Monday that a rashly driven car hit a motorcycle at Jhang Road near Chinchal Singh Wala. As a result, two brothers- Sajjad (32) and Kashif (25) riding a bike received serious injuries and were rushed to hospital where Sajjad breathed his last.
In another accident, an aged woman Mukhtaran Bibi wife of Safdar was killed when a recklessly driven motorcycle hit her at Jhang Road near Adda Sadhar, whereas 60-year-old Riaz son of Sheeraz resident of Shalimar Park Sammundri was killed when a mini loader knocked him down while crossing road near Mandi Morh Sammundri Road.
In yet another accident, a recklessley driven dumper hit and killed a motorcyclist Safdar Ali (22) son of Bashir Ahmad resident of Chak No.357-GB Jaranwala near Jassoana at Arkana Road while a truck laborer Imran (26) resident of Chak No.497-GB slipped from vehicle near Boys Degree College at Zafar Chowk Road and died on the spot.
Similarly, 48-year-old Maqbool son of Ghulam Mustafa resident of Chak No.253-RB was injured when his motorcycle collided with another bike at Sammundri Road. He was rushed to hospital where he breathed his last.
While, a speedy bus turned turtle after colliding with a tractor trolley loaded with sugarcane at Bachiana Road Jaranwala, causing injuries to three passengers.
The injured were shifted to hospitals for treatment.
