KARACHI: Karachi Development Authority’s (KDA) Director General Zain-ul-Abideen Ansari has ordered the acceleration of construction on the Peoples Skyview housing project in Surjani Town, citing delays.
He stressed the need for quality, affordable housing. During an inspection, he reviewed construction progress, workmanship and materials at the site office and model flat, directing the executive engineer concerned to address shortcomings and improve the pace of work.
Ansari ordered a detailed report within a week on the causes of delay, construction materials and their costs, and other outstanding issues.
He said the Sindh government-backed project in Sector 7-B, Surjani Town, aimed to provide affordable housing to citizens and must be completed at the earliest without compromising construction quality.
KDA Director Estate Enforcement Syed Zain Shah accompanied him during the visit.
