It is a matter of great pleasure to extend my heartfelt congratulations to the Employers’ Federation of Pakistan (EFP) on the occasion of its 75th Platinum Jubilee.

For over seven decades, EFP has made an important contribution to Pakistan’s industrial and economic development by representing the interests of employers and promoting constructive industrial relations, decent work, labour welfare and responsible enterprise. Its longstanding engagement in strengthening social dialogue reflects the important role of employers in shaping a productive, inclusive and sustainable world of work.

The Government recognises EFP as an important constituent of Pakistan’s tripartite labour system and values its continued engagement in advancing the principles of decent work, fundamental principles and rights at work, business and human rights, gender equality and environmental sustainability. Its contribution to the Decent Work Country Programme and to dialogue among the Government, employers and workers is particularly noteworthy.

As Pakistan seeks to harness its human resource potential, strengthen skills, improve productivity and expand decent employment opportunities, meaningful collaboration among the Government, employers and workers remains essential. Employers’ organisations such as EFP have an important role to play in responding to the evolving demands of the labour market, promoting skills development and fostering workplaces founded on rights, dignity, safety and mutual respect.

The Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development looks forward to further strengthening its collaboration with EFP in promoting labour standards, skills development, responsible employment and stronger linkages between Pakistan’s human resources and emerging opportunities at home and abroad.

I wish the Employers’ Federation of Pakistan continued success in its endeavours and congratulate its leadership and members on this significant milestone. May the next chapter of EFP’s journey contribute further to a prosperous, equitable, productive and sustainable future of work in Pakistan.
