KARACHI: Muhammad Farooq Naseem, Chairman and CEO of DWP Group, has been elected Chairman of the Pakistan Electronics Manufacturers Association (PEMA).

Naseem will lead the association alongside Umar Ahsan Khan (CEO Dawlance) as Senior Vice Chairman, and Muhammad Faisal Afzal (CEO Super Asia) as Vice Chairman. The Association formally announced the election of its new Executive Committee and Office Bearers, effective immediately following Annual General Meeting (AGM).

PEMA has the mandate to represent Pakistan’s manufacturing industry of Home Appliances and Electronic products. Its current strategic focus is on Export development, Advocacy on Govt. policy, Market Affairs and Vendor Development.

Naseem and the incoming leadership reiterated their commitment to scale up and modernize Pakistan’s electronics manufacturing industry to international competitiveness and capabilities to enable exports.
