JAKARTA: Indonesia exported 227.70 million metric tons of coal from January to August, down 9.33% from the same period last year, statistics bureau data showed on Thursday.

The shipments were worth $16.58 billion, 4.31% higher than the corresponding period in 2025.

The bureau’s figures are based on reports from the customs office.
