Sri Lankan shares end lower for fourth session

Sri Lankan shares closed lower on Wednesday, their fourth consecutive session of declines, led by energy and healthcare stocks.
The CSE All-Share index settled 0.18% lower at 21,082.08 points.
Talawakelle Tea Estates and Taj Lanka Hotels were the top percentage losers on the benchmark index, down 6.97% and 6.45%, respectively.
Trading volumes rose to 97.1 million shares from 47.7 million shares in the previous session.
The equity market’s turnover rose to 2.95 billion Sri Lankan rupees ($8.79 million) from 1.41 billion rupees in the previous session, according to exchange data.
Foreign investors were net sellers, offloading stocks worth 1.05 billion rupees, while domestic investors were net buyers, purchasing shares worth 2.93 billion rupees, the data showed.
