JAKARTA: Malaysian palm oil futures rose at the open on Thursday, tracking gains in rival vegetable oils at Dalian and Chicago markets, while firmer crude oil prices also provided support.

The benchmark palm oil contract for October delivery on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange gained 89 ringgit, or 1.93%, to 4,711 ringgit ($1,152.96) a metric ton in early trade.
