PESHAWAR: JUI-F and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) joined hands at district level and started consultations for ensuring the holding of local bodies’ polls without any further delay.

In this connection, a consultative meeting of both political parties at the level of district Peshawar was held at Ali House with former KP Governor Haji Ghulam Ali in the chair.

Those who attended the meeting included former MNA Nasir Khan Musazai, general secretary of JUI-F, Peshawar, Ahmad Ali Darwaish, former district Nazim, Mohammad Umar, Malik Siraj and former Tehsil Chairman Kaleemullah.

PPP was represented by Raza Ullah Chagarmati and general secretary Khalid Khan. The meeting of both parties were in consensus that prolong delay in holding local bodies polls in the province was against both the constitutional requirements and democratic norms.
